The motivation for our project is to develop children´s personality. We want to have well balanced, self-confident citizens. We want to help our children to achieve their potential, develop their problem solving ability. Bring up tolerant people. We want to reach these objectives by a common project focused on sport activities inspired by the idea of Olympic games.

Mascot from UK
Children in the lunch time art club have been working on the project mascot. Children have learnt about different mascots from different Olympic games, the symbols and the meaing of them.
After producing their individual ones, children have decided together what mascot they should make in a bigger scale and what meaing
they are going to give it.
Children decided they wanted to make a mascot using the
school symbol, and eagle and decorate the eagle with different textures and materials using
the colours of the countries´flags involved in the project.

Erasmus displays in shool in UK
At St John's we feel very proud to participate in this Erasmus project with our partner schools. We like to share all the work we do with the whole school community. This is one of our displays that shows the flags that the children designed for the first activity of the project.
Video and padlet of our trip to Finland-UK
Our first trip of the project was very successful. Children and teachers had a great experience, and took part in all the activities planned for the week. We felt very welcomed and integrated in the school community. Many thanks to the coordinator, teachers and host families for this wonderful week.

Uk project flag voting
UK has voted in each class for the best flag for the project. Children from Early Years to Y6 were involved in the process. The flag with more votes in the school is the flag from Poland.
Children think it represents the multiculturality with the different colours, the symbols and the country flags. It also shows clear link to sports and olympic games.

UK 🇬🇧- Project flags
Children at St. John’s have enjoyed working around the first activity for our Erasmus project.
They have learnt about the history of the Olympic Games flag and have put their best effort to design their own flag and give it a deep meaning.
It’s been very difficult to choose the best ones because they all did a very special flag. Well done to all of you!
